Dr. Nishith Chandra is Director of Interventional Cardiology, Incharge Air Ambulance Unit & Director and HOD of Cardiology at Fortis Hospital. He began his career at King George’s Medical College, Lucknow where he completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) in 1986 and 1990 respectively, followed by DM Cardiology from the same institution. Dr. Chandra’s long career spanning over 19 years has paved the way for some path breaking procedures and care techniques in cardiology. His areas of interest include coronary angioplasty, coronary angiography, ICD implantation, carotid angioplasty, peripheral angioplasty and permanent pacemaker. Dr. Chandra has previously served as Director of International Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi.
