Dr. Indar Kumar Dhawan is a Consultant in Minimal Access &Laparoscopic Surgery at the Batra Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. His medical qualifications include an MBBS, an MS in General Surgery, and a FAMS. In his medical practice spanning over four decades, Dr. Dhawan has developed expertise in areas like Laparoscopic Surgery, General Surgery, Thoracic Surgeon, Minimal Access Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Hernia Surgery (Laparoscopic), Gallstones (Lap Cholecystectomy), and Anti Obesity (Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery). He is also the President of various prestigious medical societies of India including Indian Society of Oncology, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, and Association of Surgeons of India, Delhi State Chapter. Dr. Dhawan has been a retired Prof. of Surgery and HOD at AIIMS, New Delhi. He has also set-up the Renal Transplant Department at AIIMS. He has also received Sandoz Oration Award from ICMR for work on oral cancer.
