Being from a non medical family background it was always an inspiration and dream to become a Doctor, accomplished with skills and motivated to reach out to the common people in a way which was perhaps not possible in any other profession. Dr. Sanchayan Roy did his under graduation from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. Post M.B.B.S., he worked in a rural hospital in Tamil Nadu for 2 years. He did D.N.B. in General Medicine from St. Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore. During his post graduation, he also worked in Jaydeva Institute of Cardiology and the prestigious NIMHANS (Neurology and Psychiatry) in Bangalore. After completing D.N.B., he worked in Wockhardt Hospital, Bangalore for nearly five and half years in Critical Care Medicine. At that time he also had training in respiratory medicine under the guidance of Dr. Ravi Mehta (Interventional Pulmonologist).
