Dr Parvathi U Iyer presently Director, Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute at New Delhi is a Pediatric Congenital Heart Surgery Specialist. After graduating from AIIMS, she received training in Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive care at the Royal Childrens Hospital, Melbourne and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. She is the country’s first pediatric cardiac intensivist who helped start the first dedicated pediatric cardiac ICU in Northern India in the year 1995, training over 20 pediatric cardiac intensivists. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at AIIMS and has won many awards for her outstanding services in cardiology.
