Doctor Profile
Dr I.C. Verma is a renowned specialist in Genetic Medicine. After practicing for one and half year in medicine at East Africa, he acquired training in Pediatric and Genetics from London. He practiced at AIIMS from 1967-1996. Over a period of time, he established himself as a Professor of Pediatrics and Head of Genetic Department there. Later, this unit got recognition as WHO Collaborating Center in Genetics for creditable performance. Dr. Verma has been awarded various recognitions, including prestigious FRCP Fellowship, Ranbaxy Science Award, ICMR, NAMS and BC Roy Medical Council award etc. In the year 2003, he made a successful entry in LIMCA book of records as a pioneer in genetics, in India. To deliver his knowledge worldwide, Dr. Verma imparted trainings in many National and International healthcare organizations. For the past two decades, Dr. Verma is a member of the advisory body of the World Health Organization Committee of Genetic Disorder.
