Dr. Kumar Palaniappan did his Post Graduation & Specialization at Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai. Has worked as Senior Resident at SGPGI, Lucknow. He Got Liver Transplant Surgery training at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon. Trained at Robotic HPB Surgery at Vattikutti Institute of Robotic Surgery. Performs Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgeries. Further training in HPB & Liver Transplant Surgery – Asan Medical Center, Seoul. Had Laparoscopic Liver Surgery training at Iwate Medical University, Japan. Received travel grant for training in laparoscopic liver surgery in Japan. Received best poster awards in International & National Conferences.

Current clinical interests:Liver Transplantation, Laparoscopic liver resection mainly minimal invasive donor hepatectomy& Laparoscopic Pancreatic surgery.

Research Interest:Portal Haemodynamics, Laparoscopic liver surgery.
