When I was about 50, I was having sagging skin issues due to pregnancy and I also developed a horrible pair of saddle bags on my thighs and a “bubble butt. After a week I was accompanied by my husband to a cosmetic surgeon in our city. I told her about my troubles and asked her for a suitable solution. I was eager to get out of this trouble so I asked about lower Body lift surgery procedures. I was ready to undergo this surgery but after hearing the total cost of the complete lower Body lift surgery I lost all hopes. It was just impossible for me to have this Body lift surgery at such a high cost. I was disheartened and lost all hopes for my surgery. I was mum and sad for a few days because all my excitement was ruined just because of higher cost of surgeries in Ireland. I called the surgeon to know if I have any other option. She suggested me to go to India for a lower Body lift surgery. But I felt this suggestion was useless because again it was not possible for me to go all the way to India for a surgery. I told this to my husband but he asked me to search on the websites or collect information so that if India did provide quality treatment at an affordable cost then I should go opt for it. So my husband himself visited the websites of medical tourism companies where the price quotes offered by them on the web pages appealed to him, so he sent an e-mail query to them asking whether the company could arrange my Body lift surgery at a suitable cosmetic surgery center or hospital at an affordable cost in India.
Though at first it was very scary to think about going to India, as I had heard lots about Indian pollution and poverty which led to acute unhygienic conditions. The surgeon held my hand and comforted me as I went under and then a couple of hours later I woke up in recovery without a hitch and did not remember much of the procedures at all! The beaches here have been accepted as a matter of life, there are exotic cuisines backing the pleasures of having both sun and sand and water sports facilities that included water scooters to water gliding. Goa is studded with temples and churches, which remain as silent but forceful witnesses to the intense religious history of the diverse people who lived there. We enjoyed ourselves a lot as people here are very friendly.
Now after a year from my Body lift surgery at hospitals of Goa in India, today, my weight is stable at 90 pounds – a weight that I have been able to maintain. Since my surgery, I no longer struggle with my obese body. My weight loss has also given me a gift that obesity made unattainable. I have made a complete commitment to leading a much healthier life to ensure that I maintain my weight. I now realize Body lift surgery is only one tool to help with the weight loss and that the future lies in my own hands. I fully understand the importance of healthy eating and regular exercises in maintaining my weight. These have become daily parts of my life now and I am also doing my best to share with my family the importance of healthy eating and exercises in their own lives. I don’t want my daughter to struggle with obesity as I did. I am very thankful to have been given a second chance and I’m a much healthier, happier person because of it now.
