Dr. Vikas Gupta is a well known Senior Consultant at Max Hospital with Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery as his area of function. He did his M.B.B.S and MS in Orthopedics from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi with flying colors. Starting his career path as an Associate Professor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.), he was able to do more than 3000 successful hand & upper extremity surgeries in his lifetime. Not only this, Dr. Gupta is also acclaimed for initiating numerous procedures. In fact, he was the first Indian surgeon to carry out Total Wrist replacement (ceramic on ceramic). Dr. Gupta has a wonderful record of initiating lots of surgical procedures in India. One of them is the setting up of hand and wrist fractures with locking plates.
