Dr. Sumit Singh is presently the Director of Neurology Department at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. Prior to Artemis Hospital, he served as Additional Director of Neurology at Medanta – the Medicity. He completed his MBBS from MLB Medical College, Jhansi and MD in Medicine from LLRM Medical College in Meerut. Dr. Sumit Singh was the topper of his class while pursuing his DM in Neurology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and was awarded the “BL Soni Gold Medal” for being the Best Resident in Neurology. After that, he went on to complete his training in muscle disorders from the Institute de Myologie Sal Patriare hospital, Paris France. Post returning to India in 2000, Dr. Sumit Singh joined AIIMS as a faculty and set up the first Headache Clinic in India in the government sector in the year 2002. Dr. Sumit Singh is known for his expertise in treatment of headache, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.

• He started the first headache clinic and the Neuromuscular disorders clinic in north India at AIIMS
• Dr Sumit was a key member of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program for Parkinson’s disease at AIIMS and is responsible for establishing the same at Medanta the Medicity
• BL SONI Gold Medal Awardee at AIIMS
• Started the usage of Botulinium toxin for headache for the first time in India and extended its usage in patients in trigeminal neuralgia
